Situated in great wine terroir just 30 kms from Melbourne, Shadowfax Winery is a
contemporary development in Victoria's burgeoning wine industry.
Inspired by the young and talented winemaker Matt Harrop, Shadowfax is a full working
winery established to produce a range of fine, super premium wines. Fruit for Shadowfax
has been sourced from its own and other premium vineyards around Australia.
Shadowfax's unique architecture creates a harmony between the winery and its natural
surroundings. Contemporary in design and function, Shadowfax was designed by award
winning architects Wood Marsh. Its rusted sheet metal exterior, and its terra cotta
interior, evokes the best of our Australian wine heritage. Yet the winery is a state-of-the
art development and none of the meticulous processes that are required for the making
of fine wine have been overlooked.
Open every day from 11am, Shadowfax
offers visitors the opportunity to taste the wines, purchase from the cellar door,
enjoy a range of gourmet lunch items from the deli or take a stroll around the picturesque
vineyard.
